The Role:
The Business Development Manager is our first point of contact for all our Office Test customers. The role involves both Sales and Operational management of a dedicated customer base. With a huge opportunity to maximise sales through cross-selling with clients across the range of services we offer.
Our focus is to confirm renewals / rebooks whilst selling additional services proactively via telephone on both inbound and outbound calls.
You’ll look to generate new business leads, reaching out to companies that don’t use Office Test currently while maintaining existing relationships.
The Daily Job:
- Conversations over the phone with our existing or lapsed customers to renew existing agreements, maintain/build the relationship and cross-sell our additional services to maximise revenue growth from each account you manage.
- Educate each client on the full range of services we offer along whilst building the relationship to enhance future sales potential.
- Manage all customer related enquiries and feedback from our customers after works have been completed.
- Strong attention to detail is key to success within the role.
- Utilise the company database to effectively record every customer interaction.
- Have good quality conversations based on knowledge about their account and history as a client of ours.
- BDM’s are targeted on KPI’s such as Call Statistics, this includes the daily talk time taken to build relationships effectively along with quotations, cross-selling revenue results and most importantly hitting set sales targets.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Sales skills (How to ask for and close business deals).
- An understanding of the B2B sales cycle.
- Knowing how to manage ongoing relationships with clients and growing their value.
- Pro-actively making phone calls to clients to discuss needs and capturing key information.
- Good database management skills – accurately inputting client data/notes, updating call dates etc.
- Ability to learn new things quickly.
- Good attention to detail.
- Organised, plan and think ahead.
- Likeable with drive, ambition and personality to match.
- Hunger to earn well and succeed against set targets.
The Candidate:
- Individuals that succeed in this role have a strong ability to communicate well over the phone, building on relationships.
- You may have worked previously in a B2B inside sales role or be a successful Business Development Manager.
- You are ambitious, driven and tenacious in your approach to understanding the sales process and considerations clients make in their decisions.
- You should have a “hunter like” attitude towards sales and be used to having to generate new business.
