Role Purpose / Responsibilities:

• To analyse the business domain and documents its business processes and systems, assessing the business model and its integration with technology.
• Interacts with stakeholders to elicit the requirements with regards to process, products, services and software.
• Work alongside the Verex project and development teams to oversee the implementation of different projects.

Skills Required for the Role:

• Agile working. You can identify and compare the best processes or delivery methods to use, including measuring and evaluating outcomes. You know how to help the team to decide the best approach. You can help teams to manage and visualise outcomes, prioritise work and work to agreed minimum viable product (MVP), print and scope.
• Business analysis. You can investigate problems and analyse options for new and existing services. You know how to provide recommendations to solutions. You can work with stakeholders to identify objectives, opportunities and potential benefits available.
• Business improvement process. You know how to analyse current services and processes, and can identify and implement opportunities to optimise these. You can help to evaluate and establish requirements using relevant techniques such as gap analysis.
• Business modelling. You can use a wide range of techniques to model situations confidently, including the ability to build strong relationships.
• Business process testing. You know how to report on system quality and collect metrics on test cases.
• Enterprise and business architecture. You understand and can apply the current target operating model to work.
• Stakeholder relationship management. You know how to identify important stakeholders, tailoring communication to their needs, and work with teams to build relationships while also meeting user needs. You have the ability to take opposing views to reach consensus.
• Solid understanding of UK motor market products (either broker/insurer/MGA) and overview of rating, and how UK motor products are priced/underwriting/distributed to market.
• Understanding of SQL programming language and relational database architecture (although not to programmer level) as well as interrogating and understanding large data sets.
• Requirement to have worked with a UK-based insurer, or broker IT platform in the past. Experience of working in either a Broker/MGA/Insurer in an IT administrator/business analyst/project manager role.
• Ability to quickly translate non-technical business requirements into technical specifications which developers can then use to build deliverables to the business.
• Overview of IT software development lifecycle and practices, including testing and data protection, GDPR, and data security.
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Qualifications:

• IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional™ (CBAP®), BSC ISEB Foundation Certificate in Business Analysis or similar qualifications would be preferred.

• Ability to consider multiple Verex stakeholder perspectives when fixing or building products.
