Role Overview:
- To deliver an effective, efficient, and safe service to the company
- Responsible for day to day management of buried service information
- Maintain a buried services model on a rail complex project
- Knowledge of PAS 128 as well as the issue of buried services permits is essential
Responsibilities:
- To liaise closely with the Projects Engineer & Construction Manager
- To comply with all safety requirements
- To ensure all site staff are competent with tasks being asked of them
- Coordinating buried services systems and liaising with work force
- Ensuring Permits to dig are in place
- Some basic setting out may be required
- Interpreting drawings and designs
- Managing Sub-contractors
- Providing Progress reports
- Continuously updating buried services information
- Identifying services and service providers
- Advising on the procedures in accordance to PAS 128 Informing site teams
- To oversee the works for which they are responsible to the correct specification
- To resolve any additional items or problems on site that may delay the project being completed
- To correct ways in which production may be enhanced in both time and quality
- To liaise closely with the Contracts Responsible Engineer (CRE)
- Liaise with the Site Foremen/supervisor to provide advice to them as required to ensure that their performance is satisfactory and that they have sufficient workload
- Liaise with the estimating department to advise on the feasibility of the projects before aiding with labour, plant and materials, as well as time requirements for the projects
- Help to produce all relevant method statements for the planned work
- Attend any Project review meetings/health and safety meetings
- Liaise with the design department throughout the project as required
About you:
- Experience of working to Network Rail H&S standards
- Knowledge of completing the NR/L2/MTC/0006 NWR Hazard Notification form
- Experience of undertaking buried services duties, such as acquiring permits to dig, CAT Scanning and a good understanding of SSOW
- Good Knowledge off NWR procedure on buried services
- A positive attitude with high level of commitment to challenges
- Excellent IT skills with knowledge of programming software
- Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
- Excellent organisational skills
