Reporting to the Bureau Manager the Shift Supervisor primary role is to that the production of the product is completed on time and to the standard of business and customers’ expectations. The production process can be varied in complexity and length. It is important that the candidate can adapt their style and approach in line with the roles requirements and to ensure that Thames Technology is the first port of call for all card processing, fulfilment personalisation, and departmental procedure needs.
Main Purpose of the Role:
- To ensure that all Health & Safety Regulations, Quality Standard Operating Procedures, Service Level Agreements and Statutory Regulations (including ISO & Visa / MasterCard) are always adhered to, whilst continually striving to improve and exceed the department’s business expertise.
- To maintain the culture of lean throughout the department.
- To improve machine efficiency and identify areas for process improvement.
- To insure the smooth running of the production environment.
- To ensure staff development through personal reviews, coaching and training initiatives.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain a high level of quality management systems throughout the department.
Skills:
- Experience and evidenced success of a production supervisor or equivalent role
- Ability to deliver.
- Good team player
- Motivated, energetic self-starter
- Problem solving and solution orientation.
- Quick learner; able to develop high levels of industry, product, and operational process knowledge.
- Multi processed production shift supervisor who can develop & drive lean methodologies, in line with the departmental targets.
- Work in line with the KPI’s and departmental strategies/objectives.
- Changed management implementation and sustainability.
- Ensuring goods and services are produced efficiently, and that the correct amount is produced at the right cost and level of quality.
- Effectively planning, scheduling, coordination and control the production processes.
- Daily management, development, and motivation of employees.
- Regularly reviews of staff performance.
Preferred Experience:
- People supervision experience – circa 2 years – Essential
- Working within manufacturing – circa 2 years – Highly Desirable
- Previous experience in production – circa 2 years – Desirable
- Knowledge of 5’s and process improvement techniques – circa 1 year Highly Desirable
