Job Title: Broker Manager
Location: Ridham Dock Road, Sittingbourne, Kent, ME9 8SR
Salary: £40,000.00 Per Annum
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Working Hours: 40 Hours Per Week, Monday to Friday 8.30-5.30

About the role:
To support and enhance Countrystyle’s broker service offering. Responsible for first line customer service support for our brokers, together with all back-office activities to support the smooth running of the function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Check, price and respond to new enquiries for brokers either contracted or ad hoc
- Deal with broker invoice queries relating to pricing for all depts
- Assist Accounts with aged debt and obtaining payments
- Investigate and raise credit or invoice requests for brokers
- Investigate and resolve broker complaints and escalations, working in conjunction with customer service team
- Manage all new business, large roll-outs and cancellations
- Manage subcontract work for brokers when needed
- Manage Annual Trade Waste, Skip & Rollon price increase for the brokers (Including any disagreement, credits, and system changes or re-negotiating)
- Provide monthly overview of brokers for the Board meeting
- Manage Card & Scrap rebates including collating and logging figures, raising customer PO numbers & communicating information to customers
- Sign off invoices and purchase invoices reconcile
- Organise and manage regular meetings, with the aim to identify future pipeline opportunities
- Monitor broker portals
- Quote for ad hoc jobs, such as fly tips; pricing, actioning on the system and purchase reconciling
- Attend annual meetings with brokers regarding price increases, with more frequent meetings arranged where required
- Carry out site tours around Ridham upon request
- Support the rest of the team where needed including annual leave cover
- Review new contracts and host meetings to negotiate contract terms
- Send monthly broker progress report to Sales Director
- Provide out of hours phone service to DS Smith/Simply Waste and to any who request this
- Negotiate all prices for larger tenders
About You:
Essential:
- Strong customer service ethos
- Effective communicator across all business levels both for external and internal customers
- Computer literate (emails, MS Office)
- Ability to work using their own initiative or as part of a team
- Educated to ‘A’ level standard or equivalent
- Communications skills both verbal and written
- Highly Organised
- Ability to prioritise
- Customer focused approach to working
