Salary: £50,000 – £70,000 + Depending on experience

Role Summary:
As a member of the Painted Bespoke Joinery Design Department, the Bespoke Furniture Designer will play a critical role in shaping the future of custom furniture design. Reporting to a Female Owner directly, this position offers the chance to delve deep into the art of bespoke creation, turning client visions into reality. You will lead projects from their inception to their culmination, ensuring each piece of furniture not only meets our exacting standards of quality and beauty but also captures the essence of the client’s individual style.
Key Responsibilities:
- Our factory utilises the latest Homag machines including a 5-axis CNC and the ideal candidate needs to have a good knowledge of WoodWop and Smart Wop as well as other design software
- Lead bespoke furniture projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to timelines and continuous updates to all stakeholders
- Utilize advanced design skills to conceptualize and create custom furniture that meets a wide range of client needs, ensuring practicality, luxury, and compliance with specifications
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible for production
- Adjust and refine designs to maintain client satisfaction and uphold design integrity
- Manage communications with suppliers, team members, and stakeholders effectively
- Conduct site surveys and employ CAD/CAM software for precise manufacturing specifications
- Stay abreast of industry trends and techniques in furniture design
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in bespoke furniture or cabinets design
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software; CAM knowledge advantageous
- Experience with Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, and related software for creating client documents
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Exceptional customer service skills, organization, flexibility, and time management
- Must be eligible to work in the UK
