Job Title: Bar and Catering Assistant

Salary: £21,000 – £24,000 based on experience
Job type: Full time – Permanent (Part-Time Positions Considered)
Saffron Walden Golf Club is set in the picturesque surroundings of Audley End’s famous mansion, the Club boasts superb views over the historic market town of Saffron Walden.
In addition to our outstanding golf course, we have a 140-person capacity clubhouse and bar & catering facility serving freshly cooked, homemade food on a daily basis, alongside numerous beers & wines. We also have a private function/conference room seating up to 24 people seminar style overlooking the 18th green, in addition to one of the largest private car parks in town.
The Role
Saffron Walden Golf Club has a fantastic reputation for the quality of its golf course, its catering, and its staff. We are looking for an enthusiastic food and beverage staff member to join our busy team, to deliver exceptional service to our members and external clients.
Main Responsibilities
- Serving food and beverages to private members and visitors.
- Open and close the bar and lock the clubhouse.
- Cash up tills.
- Supervise part time and casual staff.
- Run small functions and societies.
- Set up the dining room ready for functions and societies.
- Ensure the bar and function room is clean and tidy.
- Maintain Bar stocks.
- Daily cleaning tasks.
- To assist in the preparation of basic food items as required.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience in Bar and Waiting (Essential).
- Be a team player.
- Experience with cash handling
- Eligible to work in the UK.
