About the role:
Working within the Conference & Events department to deliver and support all aspects of Audio Visual requirements for The Lowry’s conference and events business, including internal meetings and events in all areas of The Lowry’s facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out all duties associated with loading-in, setting-up, operating de-rigging/loading-out of audio-visual equipment & services for all conferences and events taking place at The Lowry.
- Operate a variety of forms of audio-visual equipment; including (but not limited to) lighting, sound, projection equipment, software and other systems, as may be required.
- Provide a high level of customer service to all clients, including client representatives.
- Maintain all audio visual and technical equipment owned by The Lowry’s Hospitality
- department, including its safe storage and security. Ensure that all technical areas of the building are kept in a clean tidy manner and in a safe condition.
- Assist, when required, with the provision of technical services in the galleries and the theatres, as well as supporting and operating any internal conferences and events.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Industry related qualification or equivalent.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Able to set up and operate audio visual equipment.
- An understanding of presentation software, including.
- Microsoft PowerPoint and Apple Mac Keynote.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate with a wide cross section of people; external clients and suppliers and internal colleagues and departments.
- A commitment to excellent customer service and care.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Health and safety.
- Experience in the operation of audio-visual equipment.
- An understanding and empathy of The Lowry’s core functions.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to fulfilling the duties of the post.
