Purpose of Post:
To provide friendly and effective admission service and to provide advice and guidance to potential students and existing students’ enquiries. The post holder will monitor student attendance and ensure implementation of the attendance policy.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Attendance;
- Develop a good knowledge of the attendance policy, termination policy, disciplinary and grievance policy and other related policies, procedures and forms and ensure their implementation
- Create attendance groups and communicate timetables to all students
- Ensure attendance data on the College database and physical forms is reconciled, matched and is accurate
- Ensure implementation of attendance policy and all attendance related to disciplinary actions are taken according the College policies and procedures
- Authorise leave of students who could not attend classes in accordance with attendance policy
- Monitor and ensure that all students attend their classes according to the attendance policy and contact all students whose attendance is below threshold agreed by the College
Other General College Duties;
- Work flexibly as part of the College team to ensure the smooth running of the College’s premises and facilities
- Participate actively and flexibly in a range of College-wide activities, such as duty rotas, enrolment and marketing events
- Participate in training and team development activities, to develop and update skills and knowledge
- Understand and be committed to the College’s health and safety Policy statement and the College’s safety priorities and be aware of your contribution to them
- Be aware of the College’s equality policies and demonstrate commitment and enthusiasm to promote the principle of equality and diversity throughout all aspects of your work
- Be familiar with safeguarding requirements as outlined in the College’s policies and comply with its requirements to safeguard and protect the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults
- Undertake such additional duties or projects as directed by the directors or senior managers of the College.
