Key Responsibilities:
- Using software to record, communicate, help efficiency.
- Co-ordinate activities to achieve business performance.
- Being able to use and understand the transport sector of the business, with the ability to route and schedule deliveries.
- Knowledgeable in Health and Safety and upholds the highest expectation.
- Management of the receipt, storage and despatch of stock using inhouse systems
- Coordinating and enforcing operational and personnel policies and procedures.
- Overseeing inventory control, including implementing processes such as physical inventory counts and reconciling inventory data with data management systems.
- Establishing and monitoring security procedures to ensure the safety of the warehouse operation, personnel, inventory, and other warehouse assets.
- Optimizing the warehouse layout, inspecting equipment, and ensuring ongoing maintenance procedures are followed.
- Ensure environment, health and safety standards are set up correctly and achieved on anon- going basis and actively promote individual responsibility for environment, health and safety.
- Responsible for the physical appearance and safety of the working environment.
- Actively promote and take responsibility for embedding a culture of employee engagement within the team, ensuring high levels of team morale through constant communication
- Ensure that the team delivers Key Performance Indicators that line with company operations data.
- Ensure processes have a relevant standard operating procedure and that these are continually improved to drive improvements in quality and performance.
- On occasions liaise with customers, colleagues, suppliers and transport companies.
- Have a clear understanding of the company’s policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these.
Required:
- Forklift
- First aid trained (desired but not essential)
Please note that this role will be office based within a warehouse environment Monday – Friday working either 9:00 am – 6:00 pm or 7:00 am – 4:00 pm so there is a requirement for flexibility due to business needs.
You must be a Driver with permanent access to a car as we are not accessible in any way via public transport!
Additional benefits:
- 28 days Holiday (20 days plus Bank Holidays), increasing by one day after one year’s service and every year up to a maximum of five years.
