Job Title: Assistant Reception Cover Manager

Location: London Area (North London, East London, Bedford, Watford or Hemel Hempstead)

Salary: £19,190 per annum (£32,000 FTE)

About Us:

LAH provide front of house receptionists and marketing representatives for premium commercial office schemes, working with Landlords, Investors and Property Management Companies. We’ve been established for over 35 years and as an independent, nationwide business, we recognise the importance of everyone who works for us.

The Role:

We are looking for an Assistant Site Cover Manager to join our team, responsible for planning and scheduling reception cover across our corporate offices. This role supports our London Region, encompassing London and its surrounding areas. It is primarily a mobile position with some remote/home working.

The role is perfect for an experienced receptionist or customer service professional seeking to advance into a managerial position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to Site Cover Managers
  • Work collaboratively with Site Cover Managers to plan and schedule staff resources, using scheduling software, ensuring adequate site cover for all LAH sites nationwide
  • Respond promptly to requests for reception cover, whether for planned holidays or emergencies, ensuring seamless operations at all times
  • Be available on-call to handle emergency reception cover requirements and coordinate the appropriate response, keeping key stakeholders informed (on a rota basis)
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including LAH Receptionists and Mobile Cover Receptionists.
  • Plan and deliver induction training for Mobile Cover Receptionists
  • Proactively monitor sickness records and ensure the collection of necessary sickness certificates as required
  • Visit LAH sites when possible to build and maintain familiarity with site operations and dynamics

Working Schedule:

  • Part-Time: Monday – Wednesday, with one Sunday per month (40 hours per week)
  • Additional Hours: As Assistant Site Cover Manager, you may be required to work additional hours as necessary for the proper performance of your duties (flexibility and time-in-lieu arrangements by agreement)
  • Site Cover: If required to cover at a site, you must be flexible to work the hours needed for the site, which typically vary between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM
  • Sunday Schedule: If scheduled to work on a Sunday, the working hours will be from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. You will be on call to handle emergency cover requests for Mondays, ensuring a plan is in place to cover the site for the contracted hours. No other work is required on Sunday. (Note: If you work on a Sunday, you will receive a day off during the week.)

Requirements:

  • Flexibility and willingness to travel are essential
  • Ideally located in the London area or North London, East London, Bedford, Watford or Hemel Hempstead
  • Access to a car for commuting is required
