That’s from Olympic Opening Ceremonies and BRIT awards to draining the sea for the UAE National Day. You will be helping us produce work that’s seen all over the world.
Your role would be to help guide our projects through workshops and on-site delivery. We’re spread over 14,000Sqm and you’d be working across all of it, including our wood shop, metal shop, machining, operations, paint departments, and drafting/design department.
The successful candidate will initially be mentored by Project Managers with a view to undertaking a variety of duties. Responsibility and progression will be earned by demonstrating increasing levels of competence, integrity, and forward thinking.

The Role:
The Assistant Project Manager will take a lead role in the project delivery team supporting the Project Manager through the project lifecycle, from design, through production, managing the loading process of the project and deputising on site for the Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide support to the Project Managers to ensure best practice and project delivery
- Ensure that installations are carefully planned – access, crew, tools, welfare etc
- To lead on-site crew to install projects in line with company standards and procedures, deputizing for the Project Manager
- To ensure that the on-site delivery and management of Projects is delivered to the highest possible standards, ensuring compliance with the company’s health and safety policy and other appropriate company policies
- To work closely with the Production Management Team and Department Supervisors, to ensure the efficient progress of projects through the various manufacturing processes, supporting various production teams, proactively addressing any issues
- Provide feedback to Project Team & Production Management Team on quality control issues
- Contribute to pre-site planning with regard to site crew, plant & equipment needs
- In conjunction with the Project Manager, take ownership of loading process to ensure all vehicles are coordinated, loaded safely and leave on time
- To provide support and regular feedback to the Projects Director, Project Manager and other team members throughout the key stages of projects
- To ensure, in conjunction with the project manager, all internal database records are up to date and accurate
- Be able to solve problems efficiently and make important decisions when needed
- Be able to work with no/minimum supervision when required, using own initiative
- Using a range of hand tools, equipment and machinery with due care and attention
- Help to manage the quality control of finished items
- Managing and participating in project meetings
- Maintaining a proactive and positive team ethos

Qualifications
- A general education to include 5 GCSE passes at Grade C or above (including Maths and English), or an equivalent educational qualification, or relevant experience
Knowledge
- Knowledge of construction methods in a broad range of sector

- Ability to lead a team, problem solve and deal with pressure
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
- Experience of working to varying production deadlines and changing specifications
Additional information: 7.30am-4.00pm with regular overtime, weekend work may be required
