Job Title: Assistant Process & Technical Manager

Overview:
They are currently looking for an Assistant Process & Technical Manager to join their team at Thurrock and play an integral role within this fast-growing business.

The Role:
You will be expected to manage the process of placing orders, delivering accurate measurements of glass to their manufacturing department. Oversee and advise on all technical and administrative tasks involved in the order, and process sales as required. Further responsibilities include deputising for the departmental manager and encourage excellence and support their unrivalled customer service.
Key Duties:
- Ensure orders are efficiently progressed through all areas of the manufacturing process to final delivery and installation
- Facilitate services between customer, sales representatives and production department and ensure all staff communications with customers are professional and polite and maintain the high standards the company expects
- Manage the quota of work being associated to each order processing entity ensuring that an accurate measure of incoming work is being monitored
- Manage and generate KPI’s within the area that are beneficial to identifying trends and improvement opportunities
- Regularly conduct training and Root Cause Analysis to enable staff to be actively involved in discussing areas that can be improved within the department
- Provide reports on impact of errors to the line manager
- Manage the ‘orders’ inbox and prioritise orders if required
- Coordinate the Glass ordering process to make sure that supplier deadlines are met and maintained
- Identify errors in the glass order checking process
- Liaise with the Scheduler providing details on order timeframes and personnel activities in order to meet installation deadlines
Key Requirements:
- Staff management experience
- Computer literate – good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to use your own initiative
- Professional, confident, responsible, conscientious, punctual, highly organised and self-motivated
- Ability to work under pressure, both on own initiative and as part of a busy team
- Great communication and people skills
- Driving improvement in Customer Service quality and efficiency, people and processes/systems
- Knowledge and experience of Building and Bathroom industry – not essential but beneficial
- Knowledge of Auto CAD – not essential but beneficial
