We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed and experienced Chartered Surveyor to play a lead role in our commercial Estates Team to drive income, meet regeneration targets and provide an excellent service to our clients.
Colchester Amphora Trading Limited (CATL) is a commercial owned company by the Colchester Borough Council, providing a range of professional property services and consultancy advice to the Council including asset and day to day management, lease advisory, disposals and acquisitions, valuation work across its investment and operational portfolios with a current annual income of over £3m.
About the role:
Your role will be to provide complex professional asset and property management advice to ensure the high-quality delivery of estates services for the Council including taking the lead on its new high profile commercial leisure scheme at Colchester Northern Gateway opening in 2023. You will also be responsible for the direct line management of a small team of property professionals, deputise for the Head of Estates and assist in the direction and future management and development of the team.

Experience required
- A BSc/MSc Degree in Real Estate Management or equivalent
- Qualified property professional such as MRICS at least 3 years PQE
- Proven working knowledge of commercial property management, disposals, acquisitions and valuations
- Experience of using Property terrier
- Complex property negotiation
- Strategic approach to issues and opportunities
- GIS/Mapping software and Argus
- Sharepoint
- Full Driving Licence
