Job Title: Assistant Finance Officer
Location: Suffolk Coastal Port Health Authority, Felixstowe
Salary: £20,092 – £21,748 per annum
Job Type: Part Time, Permanent, 24 hours per week

Port Health’s mission is the protection of public and animal health, carrying out a range of checks to ensure imported goods are safe for all of us in the UK.
This role is crucial to supporting these operations, as you will be responsible for Suffolk Coastal Port Health Authority’s (SCPHA) finance, contracts, and procurement requirements.
The Role:
Working alongside our Finance Officer, you will be involved in raising purchase orders, paying invoices, raising invoices, and reconciling credit card records. You will act as a point of contact for external finance teams, resolving any queries and escalating more complex queries to the Port Health Finance Officer therefore excellent communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting systems, good organisational skills, and will have excellent attention to detail. Previous experience in delivering transactional accountancy finance is desirable.
