Job Title: Area Sales Manager
Location: Home Based (Likely to cover the South/Midland of England)
Salary: Competitive salary based on experience
Position: Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hours per week)
The Company:
The Company is a leading European distributor of engineering polymer materials and commodity plastics. They have an international network and is a partner to many of the world’s largest polymer producers and serves a wide range of industries including; packaging, healthcare, electrical & electronic, construction, automotive and cosmetics.
The Role:
- Promote the company and develop sales of the full product range to achieve agreed business targets and meet customer needs
- Build relationships with key contacts at customers, seeking opportunities to grow sales of existing, new and development products
The Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Manage, develop and understand the needs of the customer base, making regular visits to these accounts to build, maintain and manage relationships with key contacts at all levels
- Agree prices and volumes with customers in order to optimise returns
- Seek out and develop new accounts, promoting sales of all products in line with business strategies
- Maintain and develop relationships with Principals in order to retain existing business and gain new business
The Candidate:
- Technical sales background ideally working in the polymer industry; however consideration will also be given to candidates working in sales in related industries who have the right attitude and capacity to learn
- Good mix of business development and account management skills
- Strong communication skills – oral, written and IT
- Ability to self-manage – prioritising workload and time management
- Team player
