Job Title: Apprenticeship Functional Skills Tutor / Teacher / Lecturer
Location: Wolverhampton
Salary: £20k – £28k per annum DOE, FTE
Job Type: Temporary, Part-time (2.5 days per week) (6 Month contract)

Job Outline & Purpose
The ideal candidate should demonstrate proficiency in executing tasks through both face-to-face interactions and remote channels. Being adept at navigating in-person engagements as well as remote delivery platforms is crucial for success in this role
- To deliver engaging and effective training sessions to groups and one to one on Apprenticeship programme
- To deliver English and/or maths qualifications – Functional Skills
- Contribute towards ensuring excellent student attendance & retention
- To safeguard the welfare of all students, preventing radicalisation and promoting British Values
Training
- To deliver engaging, effective and innovative training sessions to students in a group setting or one to one basis
- To ensure that students work-skills are developed
- To engage external speakers (employers, business people, celebrities, progression/support agencies) in order to enhance the learning experience
- To deliver functional skills qualifications
- Arrange and facilitate motivational visits/activities
Assessment
- To conduct & use initial assessment effectively and set students appropriate, but challenging, targets & goals
- To assess readiness for FS exams
- To conduct and document meaningful student reviews as per procedures
- Invigilate exams and mark functional skills exam papers as appropriate
- Attendance/Retention
- Ensure that student attendance & retention targets are met, with absences robustly followed up
