About the role:
Butterworth Laboratories is a busy contract analytical laboratory working primarily for the pharmaceutical industry. The company is independent and prides itself in providing a high quality, reliable analytical service to its clients.
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious individual to join our Chromatography team as Analytical Chemist on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the Laboratory Manager – Chromatography, this role primarily involves testing raw materials and finished products to in-house or published methods.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
- Work in our Chromatography laboratory using gas chromatographic techniques to pharmacopeial or other published method sources.
- Comply with Company regulations including in-house health and safety, GMP, GLP and UKAS Quality requirements.
- Complete all analytical work within required timeframes in a fast-paced and challenging environment with numerous competing deadlines.
Experience / Knowledge/ Qualifications
Required:
- Educated to degree standard in chemistry or related subject.
- Proven experience working in a commercial laboratory performing gas chromatography analysis.
Desired:
- Experience working in a pharmaceutical QC laboratory.
- Experience of Chromeleon data system.
