Job Title: Administrative Officer – Exam Access Arrangements
Location: Hulme, Manchester
Salary: Competitive based on level of experience
Job Type: Full time, Term Time (37 hours per week)

The College is located in Hulme a mile south of the centre of Manchester and very close to Manchester University and Manchester Metropolitan University, with excellent transport links. It is one of the largest Sixth Form Colleges in the country and rated as Outstanding at the last Ofsted Inspection.
They are seeking a reliable and suitably experienced individual for the role of Administrative Officer to provide administrative support to members of the College Management Team and others.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- To be conversant with the College database and to operate this when required to keep student records updated
- To prioritise and allocate in the most efficient and effective way, all incoming work with a flexibility and readiness to undertake a wide range of tasks
- To further develop an efficient administrative support system, utilising available IT systems
- To assist with evening/weekend activities and functions and other College events as required
- To carry out such other duties as may reasonably be allocated by the SENDCO and academic support managers
- To actively participate in and deliver their contribution to the team, covering other aspects of the academic support which is available at college
- To become familiar with the services provided by Academic Support in order to be able to deal with both internal and external enquiries and requests for information
- To support the aims and objectives of the College
- To attend meetings as appropriate
- To carry out duties with due regard to the college’s policies on equal opportunities, health and safety and quality assurance
- To undertake any other duties the Principal or her designated alternate may reasonably direct from time to time within the context of the College contract

The successful Candidate will have/ be:
- Experience in an administrative role
- Proficiency in working with standard office applications such as MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Ability to prioritise and multitask
- Ability to manage own workload
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Willing to adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to empathise with 16-19 year olds within a college situation
- Evidence of commitment to Continuous Professional Development
- A willingness to show flexibility in working arrangements in terms of duties and working patterns to meet emergencies and changes circumstances
