Due to our accelerating growth, we have an opportunity for an Administrative Assistant with strong generalist business administrative skills and ideally, project administration experience who will coordinate and drive project tasks and support the Project Managers & Fermentation Manager.
About the role:
Provide a wide range of administration and co-ordination support within the company,
particularly focussed on projects and fermentation production
Key result areas:
- On budget and on time delivery of project milestones
- Samples labelled correctly right first time and dispatched on-time
About you:
You will be a self-starter, proactive and driven to get things done well to support the team. You will be thorough, methodical, and have excellent planning and organizational skills and willing to coordinate take on administrative tasks to help and support the fulfilment of customers’ projects.
Essentially you will have a GCSE in English A-C or equivalent, strong IT skills and ideally, an NVQ in Business Administration.
Need to know:
- Good IT skills with ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Strong administrative skills
Need to be able to do: (Key activities)
- Provide administration support to the Project Managers, Fermentation Manager and
cross functional teams
- Planning project meetings and recording/circulation actions
- Participating in fermentation production meetings and recording/circulating actions
- Coordination and booking of activities with relevant project team and production team
stakeholders
- Supporting project and product delivery with the coordination of product samples
including labels and despatch
- Coordination and filing of batch records and other project related documents
- Input of project management information onto relevant project information software
platforms (e.g. Sage, Wrike)
- Monitoring key actions and milestones related to projects to ensure on-time
completion
- Working with administration processes and procedures
- Provide a wide range of administrative support across departments within the
company
- Ability to multi task and prioritise and undertake other tasks as required
- Carry out the responsibilities stated in the Managing Director’s Health & Safety Policy
detailed in paragraphs 9 and 10 of his management Directive
- Be conversant with and adopt the procedures stated in the Environmental
Management System (EMS) Manual and its supporting documents
