Job Title: Activities Worker
Location: Grange Crescent Residential Home, S11 8AY.
Salary: £9.65ph.
Job type: Full Time.
Grange Crescent enjoys a secluded setting in a peaceful, leafy suburb of Sheffield, yet is only minutes from the city centre and the many amenities of London and Ecclesall roads. Grange Crescent opened a brand new 12 bed extension in September 2014.

The role:
To provide and develop client-orientated activities, events and therapeutic sessions, including assisting with the planning and implementation of the service maximising customer satisfaction.

The Candidate:
Experience preferred in similar role, but not necessary.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- To be aware of and work within company policies and procedures as determined by Sheffcare Board and Chief Executive, ensuring that all applicable legislation is implemented.
- To provide and develop client-orientated activities/events and therapeutical sessions.
- To liaise with external agencies/bodies as necessary.
- To work closely with home based staff, maximise customer satisfaction.
- To promote and publicise all Sheffcare services.
- To ensure all equipment and materials are transported and available for users of the service, including setting up as necessary.
- To advise the Registered Manager in adapting existing services and on the introduction of new services, assisting with the planning and implementation of these services.
- To be aware of individuals needs having regard for their intellectual, social, emotional, physical and spiritual needs, taking into account their cultural and ethnic background.
- To promote daily living skills with service users.
- To assist and liaise with catering staff to ensure individual dietary needs are met.
- To undertake training as required by the company.
- To assist in staff induction and training programmes as directed.
- To participate in meetings as directed and receive formal supervision.
- To record information as deemed necessary by the company through company recording systems.
- To undertake any other duties applicable to the grade and purpose of the post.
- Any other reasonable request made by a member of the management team
In addition to the specific duties and responsibilities listed below a Team Leader may also be required to perform all duties of Care Support Workers.
