Job Title: ACE Support Tutor
Location: Plumstead, South East London
Salary: £18,734 to £19,416 depending on experience
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time (39 weeks per year)

The Role:
Everyone at the school works to fulfil the School Plan and as an ACE Support Tutor you will provide support and small group tuition to vulnerable students who have been identified for a range of reasons as being in need of support (academically, socially and emotionally). It will include organising learning programmes, and restorative interventions as well as providing wider support for students who are vulnerable, disengaged or in danger of further exclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development and provision of the highest quality of education at the School.
- Contribute to the development and provision of a personalised curriculum and to tailored support across Key Stages 3 and 4 in ACE.
- Contribute to the development of a framework and culture of ‘early help’ across the school.
- Contribute to the cultivation of a school ethos founded on success and harmony, promoting excellence and equality for all in a diverse community.
- Make sure that young people of all abilities and backgrounds fulfil their potential.
- Engage all young people in interesting and engaging learning.
Key Requirements:
The successful candidate should have a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths and preferably Level 3 qualifications. You should also have experience of meeting the needs of marginal and disengaged young people and knowledge of the new SEN code of practice. Good communication skills and an empathetic manner are essential.
