Job Title: Account Officer

Location: Sydenham, Lewisham

Salary: Up to £31,800 pa depending on experience

Employment Type: Full-Time

Role Overview

The Accounts Officer position is a permanent role whereby you will be responsible for accounting functions, in particular sales and purchase ledgers. You will be playing an important role in the organisation and integral to its continuing success.

About you

  • AAT or other accounting qualification is essential
  • Minimum four years experience in accounting and bookkeeping practice
  • Experience in using Xero accounting system would be ideal
  • Minimum of four years’ experience and knowledge in sales and purchase ledger
  • Exceptional organisation and tidiness skills
  • Excellent numeracy, IT and literacy skills
  • Able to analyse data and compile reports
  • Experience in using customer relationship management systems and databases
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to communicate appropriately with people at all levels and capacities
  • Self-motivated and able to use own initiative to find solutions
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Ability to prioritise a varied workload
