Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Location: BB4 9TZ, Rossendale
Salary: £11.50 per hour
Job type: Part Time – Permanent. (able to negotiate hours)
We are a family run company and we are looking for a new person to join our team. This is a part-time on-site role for an Accounts Assistant located in Rossendale, hours can be negotiated to suit both parties.
The Role:
The Accounts Assistant will be predominantly responsible for maintaining accounting records, processing purchase and sales invoices, monthly VAT returns, project costing, purchase/sub-contractor invoice approval and frequent bank reconciliation. The computerised accounts used is Xero.
Main Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Experience using accounting software would be useful
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
We very much work as a team and support each other when necessary so the role wouldn’t be restricted to only accounts/bookkeeping tasks. These might include:
- Putting together O&M manuals
- Placing sub-contractor orders
- Assisting in some purchase aspects
