Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Location: Farnworth, Bolton, BL4 0AN
Salary: £23,000 – £25,000 Per annum (Depending on Experience)
Job Type: Full time, Permanent
Working Hours: 38 hours per week (Mon to Thurs 7:30 to 16:00 and Friday 7:30 to 12:50)
Based in Greater Manchester, Heatrod Elements are the UK’s leading manufacturer of heating elements and associated process heating equipment required for industrial heating applications.
About the Role:
We are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to work alongside our Financial Controller and Accounts Apprentice to support the smooth running of the day to day financial operations of the business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Purchase Ledger
- Sales Ledger
- Daily and Monthly journals – inclusive of cash journals for sales/purchase ledger
- Internal and External queries
- Banking reconciliations (multiple currencies)
- Processing sales ledger credit notes
- Month end management account journals and reporting
- Maintaining and developing department procedures
- Adhoc reporting and projects
- Supporting subsidiary and other group companies with accounting
- Any other accounting duties to support the Financial Controller
About you:
- Relevant experience and qualifications in a similar role in an SME
- Attention to detail, high levels of accuracy and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Be well organised and able to multi-task effectively
- Excellent IT skills, especially advanced excel skills
- Great communication skills
