Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Location: Hatfield – Hertfordshire
Salary: Up to £25,000
Job Type: Full time & Part-time positions available.
Survey Express Services are a market-leading supplier of Survey and Safety Equipment. Operating from six offices nationwide we specialise in the Hire, Sale and Service of Construction Surveying and Safety equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of the Purchase Ledger – posting of invoices, credit/ debit notes, cash and journal entries.
- Overseeing the purchase order process, ensuring departments adhere to the correct procedures.
- Matching of invoices to purchase orders ensuring that all discrepancies are investigated and resolved.
- Reconciliation of supplier statements within time for the month end payment runs.
- Responding to all internal and external enquiries regarding supplier accounts in a timely fashion.
- Assisting with posting receipts and chasing overdue payments
- Overseeing the accounts mailbox
- Ad hoc tasks/queries which may be required from time to time
The Candidate:
- Previous accounts experience is required
- Strong Excel skills and an understanding of data and reporting
- An analytical mind and keen attention to detail
- Professional and enthusiastic with a flexible approach to work
- Highly organised and able to manage your own workload
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Experience in using Sage an advantage
