Job Title: Business Development Manager (IT)

Salary: Up to £30k per annum DOE + OTE (Competitive)
Job type: Full Time – Permanent. (Office based, with travel to client sites)
Onyx IT is a professional MSP that has been installing IT infrastructure and accompanying IT services alongside reliable IT support to business in Norfolk and throughout East Anglia for over 30 years.
This is a client facing opportunity where you will be responsible for selling hardware, Office 365, consulting services and proven cyber security services (currently underserviced and growing exponentially) and increasing service uptake via Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR’s) to existing SME clients and identifying new clients for future approaches. Working alongside a team of professionals offering the opportunity to develop your IT sales skillset within a competitive but supportive environment.
The role
You will be responsible for developing strong relationships with clients, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders, and preparing sales proposals arising from QBR / client business activities liaising with Technical, Marketing, Finance and Admin teams to address client needs, produce proposals and lead formal negotiations to achieve successful sales outcomes.
About the role
- Develop trusted advisor relationships with your clients.
- Serve as the lead contact for all client account management matters.
- Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.
- Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits.
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions.
- Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement.
- Maintain and report on quarterly sales results and forecasts.
- Assist with the development and deployment of marketing initiatives to new prospects and existing clients.
You will need:
- A background in IT and competent current IT skills.
- UK driver’s license and have your own vehicle.
- Smart, business-like presentation.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- The ability to grasp IT solutions quickly, with training.
- Self-motivated team player- whilst you will be supported by an experienced and extremely credible senior team, you must be able to take initiative, when required, without prompting from others.
Desirable:
- Experience working in an IT company / MSP in a pre-sales or other sales role.
