Job Title: Account Manager
Location: Northampton, Remote -1/2 days a week in the office
Salary: £24k-£28k DOE + Bonus

The role: We are looking to recruit a self-driven and customer focused SME Account Manager to manage a portfolio of brokers from a sales, quality and development perspective.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Overall management of SME matrix business placed, including reviewing broker portfolio’s and identifying opportunities for development
- Offer sales support, advice and guidance to all brokers ensuring they have the appropriate knowledge and understanding of all available products/promotions
- Seek new sales opportunities and support those ideas with the broker network
- Monitor broker retention rates with the aim to increase renewals
- Overturn SME rejections, credit declines and improve overall contract failure rates
- Be responsible for all escalations, working closely with the team manager
- Identify sales trends and feedback intelligence to business
- Work closely with the wider team to ensure brokers service expectations are met
- Support Strategic Relationship Managers when field visits are necessary
- Engage in a range of sales related projects to help grow and develop the business
The Candidate:
- Previous sales or account management experience in the energy industry essential
- Must have excellent communication skills and ability to build enduring relationships
- Have a thorough understanding of the SME sales process
- Full understanding of the brokers role in the industry highly desirable
- A passion to deliver excellent customer service and act with integrity at all times
- The ability to work effectively within a team and independently
- Highly organised and efficient at managing large workloads and tight deadlines
- Good working knowledge of the Microsoft suite specifically Excel
