Job Title: Desk Based Account Manager

Location: Bridgend, Wales

Salary: £18,000 – £22,000 per annum

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

This is a well-established, award winning Telecommunications Company based in Bridgend whose primary focus is to ensure they deliver the best customer service and the perfect telecoms solution for their customers.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a focused B2B Desk Based Account Manager looking for their next challenge. The company is seeking a dynamic and innovative candidate who can help grow and develop both their brand and the company.

About the role

As a Desk Based Account Manager, your primary focus will be to support the field-based Client Account Managers whilst prospecting for business opportunities from an existing client base. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of sales/business development and be target driven; demonstrating highly commercial acumen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate as the first point of contact for all client queries
  • Fulfil client queries with providing required information, pricing or contracts
  • Speak to every client on a quarterly basis for customer care and opportunities for upselling
  • Build and maintain strong, long lasting relationships
  • Deliver client-focused solutions based on the customer needs within the telecommunications industry
  • Work alongside the New and Existing Sales Account Managers and Marketing Team to identify business growth opportunities

Requirements

  • You will have a proven track record in sales and customer service
  • You will have proven experience in a phone-based role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programmes such as Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
  • Be able to effectively manage your time
  • Have excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Have excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand new products or offers to provide the best solutions for your customers
  • Work well within a team, as well as independently
  • You will be very organised and have excellent attention to detail
  • Happy to contribute and offer ideas, make suggestions to benefit business growth
