Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 per annum, depending on experience

About the role:
Due to an exciting new strategy leading to growth, we are looking for an Account Manager.
This role is home-based although the successful candidate will be required to attend our office in Brentwood Essex once a week to work with the team. As part of that team, you will:
- Provide first-class account management to a specific portfolio of ‘Major’ accounts.
- Drive organic growth and retention of current contracts within own and others’ portfolios.
- Where appropriate, plan, organise and manage events at customer sites.
- Monitor and evaluate market activities and take appropriate actions in order to maintain a competitive advantage through efficiency, innovation and service.
- Analyse and track performance against budget, providing accurate and timely forecasts, based on potential up-sales.
- Support the Sales team on complex bids and provide account management innovations to increase the probability of success.
- Working with Sales and the Head of Commercial, plan for, oversee and mobilise new clients or new services to existing clients supporting the Sales and Operations teams to offer a seamless transition.
About you:
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience in Major account sales development with a consistent and proven track records
- Results orientated, with a successful record of consistently meeting sales and retention targets
- Previous experience in the waste or recycling industry would be advantageous but is not essential
- A self-starter who has a ‘can do’ attitude, demonstrates initiative and the ability to multi-task
- Strong influencing and interpersonal skills with proven ability to quickly build relationships with new clients
- Articulate, innovative and challenging mind-set with strong collaborative style
- Commercially aware and takes pride in the quality and standard of their work
- PC literate with good knowledge of IT systems and full Microsoft Office suite
