The IT team is responsible for the provision of IT services and support to eight offices across the Norfolk area.
What you’ll be doing…
- Logging calls via the Service Desk call logging software
- Providing support to users via phone, email, remotely, and direct methods.
- Diagnosing and resolving technical issues on your own and as part of a team
- Ensuring that a high level of customer service and support is provided
- Procurement of hardware and software requirements regarding Service Support within the Council
You must have…
- The ability to provide excellent customer service and high quality technical support by working on the Council’s Service Desk. You must be well organised, self-motivated, punctual, and flexible in your approach to work. You must also be able to prioritise a variable workload and know when to escalate a problem appropriately.
- A good understanding of Microsoft technologies including Office365, Windows 7 and upwards, Exchange, Software deployment, Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server, Anti-Virus and basic networking is essential.
- Whilst you need solid experience within a support capacity, ultimately culture is just as important. Personality and character are significant factors and combined with a strong aptitude and love of IT, are what it takes to be successful in this role.
