The Role:
We have an amazing opportunity for an HR Advisor to join our busy brokerage in our new offices in Preston Docklands. The role will be to provide support and advice to the Chairman/Directors and managers on HR matters. To oversee and administer all aspects of the HR function for the Company.
Working with Directors/management in their business area to make sure they have the right skillsets and employees have the skills and resources they need to achieve their objectives.
Responsibilities of the HR Advisor:
- Handle all HR queries throughout the business; inspire and coach colleagues for top performance
- Review and update job descriptions, identify and design training and development
- Work with Directors and Managers on recruitment, talent acquisition and retention
- Monitor key recruitment metrics: turnover, benchmarking salaries, and retention rates
- Coordinating the onboarding and induction process for successful applicants
- Assist Directors/Managers with monthly 121’s, PDPs, and the Appraisal Process
- Using HRM to access, input and compile data and suggest new HR technology solutions
- Monitor, review and update HR policies in line with current legislation
- Maintain and manage employee absence with Managers using the Bradford Factor
- Support managers with various ER cases, including investigations, capability, grievance or disciplinary in line with Company policies
- Driving the business performance in relation to the organisation’s objectives
- Work with Directors on Capability Framework; Staff Surveys; HR Action Plans
- Adhere to and review HR paperwork and policies
- Support team members using motivation, inspiring and coaching techniques
- To present management reports and action plans to the Board as requested
- To develop key relationships and work effectively with internal colleagues and external organisations
About You:
- Excellent organising and planning skills
- Ability to work proactively and on your own initiative
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work accurately
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Experience / Skills for the HR Advisor:
- Previous experience in an HR role
- CIPD level 3 preferred but not essential
- Excellent Admin, Typing and IT skills in a similar role
- Computer literate – using a range of office software, including email, outlook, spreadsheets and HRM databases
- Strong Professional and Customer Service skills when representing the Company
