Benjamin’s Workshop is a furniture joinery company based in Bethnal Green, London. Providing bespoke fitted furniture to domestic and commercial customers across London we primarily supply kitchens, wardrobes, commercial cabinetry and similar bespoke joinery. Increasingly our client base consists of professionals; established designers, main contractors – as well as high end users. On the back of our high-quality product and service we have grown rapidly over the last 12 months and have recently moved to a new, larger workshop where we have made investments to bring all aspects of production in-house.
About the role:
Due to growth, we are seeking highly skilled furniture installers to handle on-site installation of our projects. Successful candidates will receive continuous freelance opportunities, as we consistently have significant joinery packages requiring installation each month. We are recruiting for multiple installers at this time to be self-employed under CIS.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of site ensuring floors, walls and surfaces are protected prior to work starting.
- Preparing walls for cabinetry.
- Assembling, levelling and fixing cabinets.
- Hanging doors, attaching drawer faces.
- Cutting and attaching plinths, scribes, other finishing panels.
- Final alignment adjustments and tweaks to ensure highest standard of finish.
- Effective and clear in the communication with the workshop office regarding progress.
- Keeping site clean and tidy and completing an end of day clear up.
- Problem solving in a positive, communicative and productive manner.
- Delivering a superb level of customer service to our clients.
Skills Required:
- 4+ years joinery installation experience.
- Ability to work independently from technical drawings.
- Excellent understanding of furniture construction with proven experience.
- Punctual, organised with a strong work ethic and a ‘can-do’ personality. As you will be self-employed, organisation and time-management are crucial.
- A commitment to a high finish of work.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- UK work visa.
