About the Role:
Within this post, you will lead the Health, Early Years, Education & Social Science teams and be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of these functions throughout COPC. The post holder will be expected to lead and manage teams in each of these areas, ensuring all duties are effectively undertaken, providing a comprehensive service to promote an exceptional student experience in relation to key elements of the student journey.
To provide cross campus strategic and operational leadership in Health, Early Years, Education & Social Science ensuring that curricular targets are met as well as ensuring a strong student progression and learning experience is upheld.
Key Responsibilities:
- To ensure the highest quality services are provided to the City of Portsmouth College customers and students
- Support and secure commitment of staff to the vision, ethos, and direction of the college to be inspirational, aspirational, and inclusive, setting and leading a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement
- Support teams to translate strategy into effective operational objectives which are continuously reviewed and delivered to ensure an outstanding level of student experience
- Oversee the day-to-day operational management of all post related functions
- To line manage the Health, Early Years, Education & Social Science teams across campus
- To lead on and be responsible for Health, Early Years, Education & Social Science, developing the provision to ensure that targets are met
- Represent COPC with the upmost professionalism with every interaction
- Handling of sensitive information with confidentiality and adherence to data protection regulations
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes diversity, equality and respect among all members of the college community
To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with stakeholders
- Proficiency in using educational technology and assistive tools to support and improve learning environments
- Strong interpersonal skills, maintaining an approachable demeanour to aid a positive first impression and rapport building
- Significant background in staff management / supervision within a student focused service
- A background within a further education setting
- Qualifications relating to the post in question (Health, Early Years, Education & Social Science)
- Level 5 Certificate in Education or equivalent
