What You’ll Do:
As a Mechanical Design Engineer at Dale Power, you’ll be tasked with the following:
- Create mechanical designs using 2D & 3D CAD software of Industrial Uninterruptible Power
- Supply equipment for customer orders
- Produce general arrangements, internal arrangements and fabrication drawings
- Create 3D models of components and fabrication parts
- Write specifications for the procurement of key materials
- Create Bills of Materials suitable for the procurement of parts
- Work closely with other departments to enable any given project to be completed within agreed
- timescales and budgets
- Produce other key documentation, e.g. build instructions, customisation detail, labelling / tagging
- information etc. to support any given customer order
- Provide technical support throughout the manufacture and testing process
- Offer support to the Sales and Applications team to assist in quoting for new enquires
- Contribute to the achievement of department and business KPI objectives
- Complete any reasonable task as directed by your line manager
Person Specification:
Professional Engineer with minimum qualifications at HND or Degree level preferably in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum levels of educational background will not apply were sufficient experience and training is evident.
Desired Experience:
- Mechanical design of Uninterruptible Power Supply equipment
- AutoCAD and SolidWorks CAD Software
- Working within an ERP system
- Panel layout, cabinet design, fabrication drawings
- Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies BS EN 61439-2:2011
- Degrees of protection provided by enclosures (IP Code) BS EN 60529
