About the Role:
We are currently looking for a Trainee In-house recruiter recruitment to work on cross sector roles. While we are of course a law firm, our recruiters look after all the recruitment needs within the firm. This can be an admin role to a c-suite position and of course everything in between, including HR, IT, Marketing and of course Lawyers. This is an exciting role that gives a great opportunity to learn and develop in a career that is exciting and rewarding. You will initially support and in time work on a variety of roles, from volume roles to high value commercial positions.
As a team of five, we are looking for our next piece of the puzzle. We need an enthusiastic graduate who enjoys a challenge and considers themselves to be a people person.
With two senior recruiters in the team with over 30 years’ experience between them, we are able to offer full training and development and more importantly support as you settle into your new role. The right attitude is key to us, someone who is hands on, tenacious, a team player and most importantly cares about our candidates and the experience they have with Express.
This role will give you the chance to deal with the full recruitment cycle form attraction (drafting job specs / networking / attending fairs) to interviewing (telephone, Teams & office) to offers and on boarding. You will get involved in every stage of the process and get to turn candidates into colleagues.
Once fully trained you will:
- Create and manage all job postings within a busy solicitors practice with focus on general recruitment
- Have shared responsibility for end-to-end recruitment. Typically, we recruit 10-15 roles per month
- Screen CV’s and maintaining jobs boards and measuring return on investment
- Produce and analysis key recruitment metrics – while we don’t work to KPIs we like to know how we are doing!
- Shortlist candidates using fair and robust techniques, and arranging interviews
- Conducting interviews either by telephone, Teams or at the office
- Ensure all interview notes are completed accurately and promptly
- Contact all applicants, both successful and unsuccessful
- To be a brand ambassador when dealing with all potential candidates
- Manage with guidance the agency suppliers
- Ensure excellent diversity & inclusion in everything we do
- Other ad hoc duties as required
About you:
Essential Attributes:
- At least one years’ experience working in a customer service environment
- Educated to degree level
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Problem solving skills.
- Resilience and able to think and perform under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Flexible approach
- Able to act upon own initiative, but take direction from management where appropriate
- Willingness to learn
- Strong understanding of confidentiality – tact and discretion are absolutely essential.
- Competent with all Microsoft processes
Desired attributes:
- Own car preferred
- Understanding of UK employment law would be advantageous
Salary & Working Hours:
Salary for this role will be £25,000.
Monday to Thursday and 8:30am – 5:30pm Friday 8.30am – 5pm with 1 hour for lunch. At times you may be required to work outside of these hours for things like events or interview.
