Job Title: Legal Counsel

About The Role:
We are looking for a Legal Counsel (2 to 4 years PQE).
About you:
It would be great if you have a good understanding of marketing and advertising rules, consumer laws, data protection and commercial contract drafting.
Primary Responsibilities:
Marketing and Consumer Law:
Reviewing some of the marketing, ads and promotional materials, enrolment pages, T&Cs, Privacy Policies, product websites, as well as product designs for new product launches, to check compliance with advertising rules and marketing and consumer protection laws, including data protection and e-privacy laws. Identifying key risks and working with the business to agree acceptable and compliant practices.
Contracts:
- Drafting and negotiating client agreements for the purchase of advertising space or for the sale of our services and programmes to our clients’ customers.
- Drafting and negotiating vendor and supplier agreements (outsourcing agreements, licensing agreements, IT agreements, agreements to procure offers which we include within our programmes, etc.).
Data protection:
- Advise on data protection matters relating to customer personal data and the proper processing of personal data.
- Provide answers to subject access requests, handle any queries from authorities or escalated complaints.
- Draft DPIAs, LIAs.
- Advise on consents and permissions.
Qualifications:
You are fully qualified in the UK, with experience in commercial contract drafting and marketing/product reviews. We are looking for a Legal Counsel (2 to 4 years PQE), however, we would consider someone more senior or someone who is not qualified to join us as a Paralegal if you have the relevant experience.
Candidates with the relevant experience or job titles of; PQE, Legal counsel NQ, legal assistant, Commercial Lawyer, In House Lawyer, Intellectual Property Law, Data Protection Law, Commercial Solicitor, In House Legal Counsel, Contract Law will also be considered for this role.
