Job Title: Supply Chain Manager

Built for Athletes is growing rapidly following the success of a number of collaborations with high profile sports brands. Having started out exclusively as a D2C business we are seeing strong YoY growth in this sphere allied to significant B2B opportunities moving forward. International fulfilment is also likely to be on our agenda in the next year or so.
Detail on Role:
To coordinate and manage the end to end process of the brand’s products from purchasing through to final mile delivery to the consumer. To support all operational and business functions as needed and as is typical with a dynamic growing brand.
We’re looking for someone based in the Northwest who’s willing to commute to our Stockton Heath offices a minimum of 2 days and has a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role.
Person Specification:
This role is pivotal to the brand’s growth over the coming years and as such the right fit would be someone who has demonstrable skills in this field, strong organisational discipline combined with a can-do attitude and a hunger for growth and knowledge. Being a team player and pitching in when required are essential traits.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manages all 3rd party relationships and costs involved in the success of the supply chain (Supplier, Fulfilment Centre/3PL, Logistics provider)
- Implements appropriate performance metrics for measurement and evaluation of the effectiveness of the supply chain
- Managing order forecasting and placing product orders with suppliers. Ensuring products are delivered OTIF.
- Maintains detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in all sites to meet forecasts
- Working cross functionally within the business, customer service team and with 3PLs to maximise customer experience
- Analyses current procedures; suggesting improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company
- Reviews and identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing and distribution
- Negotiates prices for service and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies
- Works closely with other parts of the business particularly Finance, Product Development, Marketing and the wider operations team
- Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with the senior leadership team
Skills/Abilities:
- End to end supply chain processes and disciplines
- Knowledge/detailed awareness of fulfilment functions and parcel delivery networks
- Awareness of international shipping requirements (pallet & parcel)
- Knowledgeable with ERP functionality
- Experience with SaaS based business software
- Organised and detailed in their approach to working and keeping the board & business informed
- Competent with collaboration software such as We Chat/Asana etc.
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience working in a supply chain environment
- Experience of managing Chinese Suppliers preferred
