Oxbury is a professional practice of Chartered Surveyors looking to recruit an Associate or Senior Level Project Surveyor to work in the role of Cost Manager.
We operate from our offices in Norwich, Cambridge, Chelmsford and London, providing the full range of Project Management, Employer’s Agent and Cost Management (Quantity Surveying) services for a wide spectrum of public, private and commercial clients. The Role
Cost Management: Preparing cost estimates and plans as well as early advice on financial viability. Providing contract / procurement advice and administration, including drafting Procurement Documents. Carrying out valuations and identifying value engineering opportunities. Monthly cost reporting including agreeing cost for variations and final accounts
Occasional Contract Administration/Employer’s Agent Services: The day-to-day management of a number of schemes – including large, complex or unusual schemes – in the administration of contracts and coordination of projects.
Management: Line management and mentoring of junior staff.
Business Development: Raising the profile of the Company in a range of sectors to secure new commissions. This will include preparing bid submissions and attending client interviews.

Candidate Requirements / Experience in the following
You’ll need to be either RICS, CIOB or APM professionally qualified or have an equivalent level of knowledge, and have experience with a private practice or consultancy. You’ll have significant experience in the role of a Cost Manager and be able to demonstrate your skills in traditional, Design & Build and NEC procurement and contract administration. You’ll have experience in the residential and education sectors and if you’ve worked in other sectors that would be a bonus.
