Job Title: Engineering Technician
Salary: £36,432 + £5,472 shift allowance

We currently have a vacancy for a Mechanical Engineering Technician in the Aseptic Filling Area of our Steriles Production Section.
The successful candidate will provide engineering support within the Sterile Products Facility working a shift rota basis (2 shift 6 am – 2 pm, 1.30 pm – 9.30 pm). You will take ownership of equipment and areas to maintain the required standards, actively suggest potential improvements and challenge the status quo whilst ensuring adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices.
Responsibilities:
- Size and component changeovers on washing, filling and sealing machines for parenteral product processing
- Day to day maintenance on washing, filling and sealing machines for parenteral product processing
- Scheduled Preventative Maintenance on washing, filling and sealing machines for parenteral product processing in accordance with current engineering procedures
- Escalation of any equipment issues, safety issues and proposals to improve efficiencies
Experience & skills:
- Recognised Mechanical or Mechanically Biased Engineering Apprenticeship
- The ability to work alone or as part of a team and have excellent fault finding and rectification skills
- An intimate understanding of pharmaceutical engineering, pharmaceutical industry standards and regulatory expectations
- An understanding of the requirements of working within Grade A, B and C Pharmaceutical environment
- Experience of working within Grade C (ISO 14644-1 Class 7) and Grade B (ISO 14644-1 Class 5) environments would be a distinct advantage
