The Role:

We are currently looking for an Innovation Lead to join our committed and compassionate organisation, on 12 month fixed term contract. There will be a potential for the role to be made permanent or be extended.

The successful candidate will be highly organised and proactive, have experience of consistent delivery of output or targets, to drive results and meet deadlines and be passionate about protecting our vulnerable clients.

You will work as part of the Migrant Help Asylum Services team which forms part of the Advice, Issue reporting and Eligibility (AIRE) contract. You will provide a lead role in the scoping, planning and implementation of various innovations. The successful candidate will, with the support of internal colleagues including Projects and IT, lead on the planned improvements for the Operational Teams to ensure the working environment is in line with all of Migrant Help’s standards. The post holder will work with all key stakeholders, internally and externally to ensure Migrant Help is presented and that all our processes and procedures are transparent, efficient, professional and consistent at all times.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact for the Senior Management Team, on a variety of projects associated with the Asylum Contract
  • Engage directly with project coordinators, stakeholders, and suppliers to identify and develop opportunities
  • Build relationships with internal partners to understand the requirements of the project and find ways to collaborate
  • Liaise with suppliers to finalise requirements and specifications for projects
  • Monitor project performance to ensure timely delivery
  • Work effectively with relevant stakeholders for efficient project implementation
  • Analyse project data and provide insights to optimize performance
  • Identify areas of improvement and offering solutions
  • Prepare professional reports for management with a high degree of accuracy by collecting, collating and checking information from a variety of sources
  • Keep full, accurate and up-to-date records and follow up within the requisite time scales and undertake any necessary administrative tasks
  • Undertake any other duties which may be assigned from time to time and may include cover for other funded projects.

About you:

  • Experience of working with projects from conception to completion and evaluation
  • Demonstrable experience of providing expert advice and guidance to senior managers and internal/external stakeholders to inform complex decision making
  • Excellent ability to communicate, absorb complex information and engage with diverse groups
  • Proven ability to prioritise and work on your own initiative whilst respecting boundaries
  • Ability to plan, review, work and deal with deadlines and conflicting priorities

What else to expect:

  • This is a homebased role, however regular travel to various sites across the country will be required
  • This post is subject to a standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
  • Be able to provide documents to show their right to work in the UK i.e. passport or other right to work documents such as work visa, settled status document, certificate of registration, naturalization as a British citizen, Biometric Residence Permit etc
  • Provide full employment history for the previous 3 years and/or suitable documentation to cover any gaps in employment
