What does a MASH Team Manager do at Hillingdon?
We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Manager to work within ASC Adult Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) to lead our team of Social Workers who support and facilitate initial safeguarding enquiries and protection planning for Hillingdon’s residents who are experiencing, or at risk of experiencing abuse or neglect.
The role also includes carry a small caseload of complex full safeguarding enquiries under Section 42 of the Care Act 2014, both as Enquiry Officer and Safeguarding Adults Manager.
Outline of Duties:
To act as Duty manager – to manage daily intake of safeguarding referrals and to triage cases alongside key safeguarding partners. Chairing daily safeguarding high risk meetings with a range of partners and being able to deliver results. Supporting team members with informal and formal supervision, allocating cases.
As a manager, you will have oversight and be responsible for your teams financial monitoring, supervision and recruitment.
About you
Successful candidates will lead their team to deliver against our statutory social care duties. As a subject matter expert, you must have an in-depth understanding of the current legislation, regulations, and guidance. You will be able support staff to be creative and innovative in their approach, whilst managing your own time effectively, evidencing outcomes and completing tasks within tight deadlines. You will also be able to assure the quality of work delivered by your team
The successful candidate will be committed to providing quality services that promote independence/wellbeing, control, choice and social inclusion. You will demonstrate a person-centred approach by keeping the service user at the centre of the safeguarding process.
You will be a qualified Social Worker with extensive experience in a MASH setting, and ideally experience as a Team Manager.
