Job Title: Technical Compliance Administrator (Food/Poultry Manufacturing)

We are excited to be working with a dynamic and rapidly growing family-owned business in Preston to recruit a technical compliance administrator. Gafoor is a key player in their sector operating on a national basis, supplying poultry products to leading blue chip manufacturers and retailers.
The company is looking for a technical compliance administrator who will take on the responsibility for maintaining and continuously improving the quality management systems across this field to fork operation. Primarily an office-based role responsible for all administrative activities, supporting the technical team; including HACCP and traceability documentation, trending, analysis and BRC compliance. The successful candidate will be the point of contact for all technical and QMS systems and data control on-site.
This role may suit a food science graduate with some industry experience looking to develop their career in FMCG.
This role is not open to candidates who require visa sponsorship to work in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing all administrative functions related to quality and technical compliance to maintain and improve BRC, Red Tractor and all other technical audit standards
- Managing the close-out of customer audit findings and liaising with the Technical Manager and customers
- Report results from sampling, internal audits and non-conformances to internal management
- Monitor KPI’s results and generate departmental reports
- Provide ideas for the continuous improvement of all quality systems
- In partnership with the wider team, support the implementation of all new products, including line trials and NDP
- Oversee the internal audit calendar and communicate key dates and timelines across multiple departments
- Assist with internal and customer audits and contact with FSA, EA and onsite OVS
- Provide administrative support across the technical department as required
About you:
Key attributes and skills:
- Degree in food science or equivalent with experience of HACCP, traceability and general food safety
- Knowledge of BRC standards and other relevant standards within the food industry
- Strong communication skills and the assertiveness to challenge others where necessary
- You will be able to work in a collaborative manner being flexible in your approach
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities at any one time
- Excellent I.T skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Analytical problem-solving skills
