Job Title: Technical Engineering Manager
Location: Ridham, Sittingbourne, Kent
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum
Job type: Permanent, Full-time (55 hours per week on a rota basis Monday – Sunday)

The Role:
We are currently recruiting a Technical Engineering Manager who will be responsible for planning, designing and overseeing projects to improve the processing of waste materials.
Responsibilities:
- Providing engineering and technical support to the waste business
- Design, implement and refine production process machinery for the processing of waste materials.
- Oversee projects from concept to commissioning.
- Assist in the creation and management of budgets.
- Forge and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers, attending trade shows and conferences.
- Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders, including department heads
Person specification
Essentials:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Full conversant with the use of MS office, MS Project and CAD Packages
- Technical report writing
- Experience in the waste industry with extensive mechanical knowledge including shredders, screeners and MRF’s
- Degree level in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience
Desirable:
- A recognised Project Qualification
- Solid knowledge of safety regulations such as LOLER and PUWER
