The Portsmouth Grammar School is a leading co-educational school located in the historic heart of Portsmouth.
The Role
We have a number of cleaning vacancies with a variety of hours and work patterns available – full time, part time, split shift.
The start date will be as soon as possible.
Main Responsibilities
- Cleaning classrooms, facilities such as laboratories and libraries, communal areas and offices, toilets, washrooms, sports facilities and changing areas.
- Completing varied cleaning tasks including mopping, vacuuming, dusting, emptying bins, recycling and deep cleaning specific areas such as staff kitchens.
- Occasionally moving furniture to complete your cleaning duties.
- Completing training in the use of cleaning chemicals and other products and machinery and other equipment.
- Attending essential staff training, for example on health and safety, safeguarding and fire safety protocols
- Using the school’s email system and completing online training and forms, with training and support provided as necessary.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience of working within a team (Essential)
- Previous experience of a similar role (Desirable but not essential)
