About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bookings and Events Coordinator, to join our busy Operations Team on temporary basis to cover a period of maternity leave, for up to 12 months.
Reporting to the Bookings and Events Manager, you will support with the development of public event plans, manage internal and external providers to support BP’s public events and be the main point of contact for event enquiries.
You will accurately maintain event plans, produce risk assessments, and collaborate effectively across the various departments to oversee and ensure the smooth delivery of the annual public events plan, to a high standard and within budget. You support with the running of events and support with the preparation of post-event reports, including visitor feedback and analysis and making suggestions for event growth and improvement, as appropriate. You will also support the Bookings Team with incoming phone and email enquiries and create bookings for groups, schools, and individuals, as needed.
This is a hands-on role, which will include some heavy lifting to facilitate the set up and effective turnaround of event spaces.
The ideal candidate:
- To be successful you will have excellent administration and organisational skills.
- Be confident communicating at all levels.
- You will be a team player.
- Demonstrate your ability to work to deadlines.
- Effectively coordinate and motivate others, whilst maintaining high standards and a calm professional approach.
- Good numeracy skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Word and Excel.
- Previous experience of planning and coordinating event delivery would be an advantage.
