Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Chelmsford
Salary: £45k – £55k
Job type: Full time – Permanent (hybrid working with three or four days in our Chelmsford office)

We believe in being different. We are a friendly Chartered Accountancy small practice, providing a range of digital bookkeeping, accounting, tax, IT and business advice to clients from diverse activities and industries.
Due to expansion, we are seeking a Senior Accountant to manage the affairs of a portfolio of clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for an accountant who is seeking an interesting and varied role.
Main Responsibilities:
- Preparing periodic Management Information reports
- Preparing VAT returns
- Preparing annual statutory accounts
- Preparing corporation, partnership and personal tax returns
- Undertaking regular direct client communication in connection with running accounting engagements
- Assisting the partners with consulting and systems implementation work
The Ideal Candidate:
- It is essential that you are Practice-trained with client-facing experience
- Fully qualifiedor finalist with ACCA/ICAEW
- 3+ years of professional accounting experience
- Ambitious with a high level of energy and commitment
- Practical experience with cloud accounting
- Knowledge and application of all taxes
- High level of IT skills. Proficient with Excel and confident with apps
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in front of clients
