Job Title: Admissions Coordinator
Salary: 22k gross per annum

Job Type: Part Time – 9.00am – 3.30pm 3 days per week – including Fridays, term time only.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic External Relations team as an Admissions Coordinator. You will be responsible for supporting the external relations team at St Edmund’s College.
- Hours: 9.00am – 3.30pm 3 days per week – including Fridays, term time only.

Duties to include but not limited to:
- Providing general administrative support, including letters, mailings, joining instructions, entrance exam processes and the compilation/updating of individual student files.
- Dealing with initial enquiries promptly and effectively.
- Ensure that ISAMS is fully utilised and kept up to date with accurate information.
- Undertake the Confidential Reference process for all admissions.
- Plan the Entrance Examination timetable.
- Support the Admissions Registrar in organising Prep school Taster Days liaising with our Prep school, academic staff to ensure stimulating, enjoyable and successful visits.
- Assisting in the planning and organisation of open days, exhibitions and promotional events including maintaining and strengthening links with feeder schools.
- Manipulating examination data in Excel as part of the entrance examination process.
- Participating in College open days and other admissions events as necessary; meeting and greeting prospective parents, agents and students and answering queries.
- Provide informative, professional tours of the College to prospective families and possibly agents.
- Support International Registrar with UKVI compliance administrative checks.
- Cover emails to Registrars in times of absence during term time
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
- Whilst not in a teaching role, as an Admissions Coordinator you will be working on a regular basis in a school in a role which gives opportunity for contact with children. As such, you will be in regulated activity and an enhanced DBS check (which includes children’s barred list information) will be required in advance of appointment.
- Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone’s responsibility. As with all College staff members, you will therefore be responsible for providing a safe environment in which children can learn.
Other:
- You may also be required to undertake other duties of an appropriate level and nature as and when requested by the Headmaster, Senior Leadership Team and Head of Department.

Qualifications:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification (Desirable but not essential).
Experience:
- Ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects simultaneously (Desirable but not essential).
- Experience working within an independent school setting (Desirable but not essential).
Skills and Knowledge:
- Excellent writing skills
- Strong IT skills across multi platforms.
- Excellent general administration skills
- Experience of developing meaningful relationships with individuals from many backgrounds.
- Experience in database and website content management.
- Experience of supporting events.
