Carbon Global is a multi-award-winning business development and lead generation agency with a strong focus on the Tech and Healthcare sectors as well as having our own app, in-house Video Production, social media and casting studio.
The role
The role requires you to represent some of the most innovative marketing and communication agencies in the country as their CSM. You will end up managing a team of 8 Business Development/ Account Managers across 16 of our key accounts.
We are looking for an experienced business manager to join our expanding team of humans, plants and laptops. They will continue to provide maximum value to our clients, by leading the growth strategy and implementation across a portfolio of existing relationships. Your focus will be to ensure the client’s needs are met at all times by keeping communication channels strong and coaching your team of Account Managers to deliver their best work. If you are organised, adaptable and have a strong understanding of the needs of businesses when it comes to growth, and if you are someone with stellar interpersonal skills who thrives on coaching their team, we definitely want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Manage, coach and develop a team of Account Managers, supporting them in the delivery of success for their accounts, including assuming AM outreach responsibilities when needed
- Be the dedicated point of contact for a portfolio of clients, ensuring communication between the agency and our partners is always strong and fruitful
- Work with internal stakeholders on specific strategies for each client, creating a bespoke offering based on the agency’s capabilities
- Lead regular reviews with every client in your portfolio to understand how we can best support their needs and ensure continued satisfaction
- Proactively develop and strengthen existing relationships, support Account Managers on strategies to build new ones
- Negotiate, implement and track KPIs, managing client expectations alongside setting achievable results based on industry knowledge.
Skills & Experience
- Significant client-facing experience
- Strong business acumen
- Team management experience
- Excellent English language skills, written and verbal
- The ability to multitask, juggling is not necessary and is not preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A Performance-ready capability of Flight of the Conchords – Business Time
- Good negotiation skills
- Proficient with Google Workspace, MS Office, Slack
- Organised, with strong attention to detail and sound understanding of project management
