Job Title: Vehicle Technician
Location: Middlesbrough, Yorkshire
Salary: Dependent on experience + bonus.
Job type: Full Time, Permanent – 39 hours per week
Established in 1956, Stokesley Motors are a family-owned business and have been servicing and suppling quality cars to the public for over 6 decades. We provide a range of services across a variety of different vehicles and are currently looking for a Mobile Vehicle Technician to join our team in Middlesbrough, Yorkshire.
About the role:
Due to continual growth, we are now searching for an experienced vehicle technician to join the independent service department in our busy workshop. MOT testers are preferred, although not essential, with training provided.
Responsibilities:
- Service and repair motor vehicles to a high standard, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Carry out servicing and repairs in a safe and economical manner.
- Test vehicles and diagnose faults as and when required.
- Maintenance on vehicles.
- Ensure Manufacturer and Company compliance with all administration standards and procedures.
- Ensure that all work carried out is to MOT and/or manufacturers’ safety standards.
- Ensure maximum use of technical knowledge and skills to achieve effective, economic and safe service/repair of customers’ vehicles.
Skills Required:
- Proven experience as a vehicle technician.
- A strong knowledge and understanding of routine servicing and basic mechanical repairs.
- Good communication skills both within the team and with clients.
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team in a competent, safe and efficient manner.
- Ability to accurately complete paperwork with high attention to detail in a timely manner.
- Proactive and results driven across all aspects of work.
- Full UK Driving License.
